This is Eleanor the Apatotosaurus. Eleanor is a student at Pasadena City College; she hopes to be a librarian one day. I think she wants to be a librarian because she likes to eat books. I don't think she's realized that you aren't supposed to eat books. When she's not studying Eleanor works part time at Pinkberry. Her favorite flavor is Coconut Milk Salted Caramel. I picked up the remainder of my ceramics from the Armory this morning. I am SO glad I reglazed (for the 3rd time!) the fox planter guy. I was so unhappy with it and now I love it! The others turned out pretty good too. I wish the foliage work on the little dish was more opaque but I think I'll survive. 🤓👯‍♀️🌿❤️
Look how giant the leaves are on my Marble Queen Pothos! I just spent the last 20 minutes shining them which brought me much joy.
In other news... I'm not sure what exactly is happening here but I might have a few ideas. My big ol' Monstera just unfurled a huge 8 window leaf and it inspires me to make a felt copy. It's like #monsteramonday but on a Tuesday!
I've been carrying my little sketch book and my travel watercolor pallets with me just about everywhere I go. I've been exploring my creativity in other ways because to be quite honest, I'm am burned out on being a human toy factory. I haven't shared much of the art I've been making because I've been having a crisis of confidence over posting things on the internet because " it's not what people want to see because I make toys therefore I can't post anything else and if I post other stuff then people will unfollow me and then I'll die alone and sad bla bla bla." That's so stupid and I'm tired of myself feeling like I'm trying to fit into some idea that *I think* people have of me. So, FAIR WARNING if you don't want to see pictures of my plants and my sketchbook AND some toys and things that I might be making then, move along! There, I said it. Big hugs!
